How long will we be able to use the site?4 hours for your celebration, 2 hours set up and 1 hour for take down: total 7 hours.
Is there an overtime fee if we need to stay longer or come earlier? Yes, $500 per hour
Is there a minimum amount of time we need to rent the facility for? Yes, 4 hours
Are tables, chairs, linens, plates and glasses available? The Roof has available for your use the following: 28 5’ round tables, 6 6’ rectangular tables, 8 30” cocktail tables, 3 8’ rectangular tables, 2 4’round tables, 200 white folding padded chairs and 2 5’ movable bars with one permanent bar. You are always welcome to rent chairs or other furniture that help complete your vision of how your event should look. Linens and all dishes/serving ware must be rented or brought in.
Do you have a suggested rental company who usually works with you? Yes, we can recommend several companies. Please call or email for further information.
Is there an in-house caterer? No, but we can provide a list of caterers that we have worked with many times. Any caterer that you choose must have an ABC permit if you wish to serve alcohol at your event.
Can we use our own caterer? Yes, as long as they are licensed in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.
Are there kitchen facilities? No. There is a prep room with tables and sinks.
Are there decoration guidelines? Yes. For the most part the View is your decoration but we will able to work with you on additional decorations.
What are the parking arrangements? On site and free, 200 plus spaces.
Will we need to get a parking attendant? No
Is there a coatroom? Yes
Do you employ bartenders? No, these are usually provided by the catering company.
Do we need to buy alcohol from you or can we bring our own? This is between you and your caterer – we do not sell alcohol. If you provide mixed drinks you must have an ABC permit.
Will someone be on site during my event? Yes, either Brent, Ellen or another associate will be there from setup to take down.
Will we need to hire security? No. A security guard is provided from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at no charge.
Is the Roof handicapped accessible? Yes. It will be easy for all of your guests to attend your event. The Roof has 2 large ramps at ground level, 2 passenger elevators, and large, wheelchair-equipped restrooms. The Roof is a one level location. The outside patio, inside hall and restrooms are all on the same level.
What is the maximum capacity? 270
How many can you accommodate for a seated dinner? 250 A buffet dinner? 270
Do you have a dance floor? Yes. A beautiful hardwood, 22’x40’ floor is perfect for dancing, and suitable for a reception of 270 people.
Is site management available? Yes. We can provide additional help for your setup for $100 per hour.
